Hi guys,
I'm in the process of building a football app, which is a month or so away from launch. I have a website holding page live, through which I'm trying to generate pre-registrations through email address submission. Pretty standard stuff.
I have built social media communities of around 4.5k Twitter followers, and Facebook around 1.5k fans - most of whom are my target market (people that play football).
This audience of around 6k are the only people I've attempted to persuade to pre-register so far. I generally put out about two social media CTAs each week to this audience. I feel I have a strong proposition (which I'm messaging clearly) but my issue is that pre-registrations have been sluggish. I get about 1 person pre-registering per day.
I'm slightly underwhelmed by this. I just wondered if pre-registrations are notoriously difficult to drive, or whether I should be worried that the proposition isn't resonating that strongly in this pre-launch phase?
I haven't made an app promo video yet, done any PR, media spends or offline promotion yet, all of which I think will help - but I was hoping to generate more interest by this stage...
Would appreciate any thoughts on whether my concerns are legit
Cheers![:) :)]()
